Team receives grant from U-Committee

The U-Committee has announced that it will once again provide a grant towards the efforts of the UNSW Solar Racing Team. The grant was specifically directed to the costs associated with the construction of the carbon fibre shells of our current solar car, UNSW Sunswift III. The U-Committee is a long standing supporter of the UNSW SRT, having provided a number of grants over recent years. The group is made up of friends and alumni of UNSW who raise money to contribute to various aspects of the university which may otherwise go under-funded. Since its inception in the 1960’s, the U-committee has raised well over two million dollars. The two main fundraising activities organised by the U-Committee are the lost property sale and the Annual Book Fair.
