It is 2:55am and Solarch is still a hive of activity! Whether its buzzing from the drilling in the mechanical room, the battery testing being conducted by our electrical engineers, or a heated discussion on final checklists and action plans; the team are doing crazy hours in order to prepare UNSW Sunswift II for our departure on Monday!
It is a race against the clock as our team focuses on the finetuning of the existing systems in the solar car. Included are numerous improvements to the cars cruise control system, constructing composite battery encasing with in-built ventilation, and the design of new battery testing software, affectionately refered to as •Holly,• after our programmer's favourite singer.
Meanwhile, our chief web architect as been equally as busy. Please keep checking for regular updates and new features on this site.
