31 August 2003    (Test Run #2)
M5 Motorway

Back to WSC 2003 (Main)

This weekend's testing run clarified a number of issues across a range of systems in the car, but nothing major restricted the team's ability to run the testing itself. The run left a little later than usual, departing Solarch at approximately midday and making out for the Pheasants Nest station along the M5 motorway. After unpacking the car, UNSW Sunswift II traveled 113km.

While monitoring the active UNSW Sunswift II, the team was able to take note of a number of areas to be worked on - marking this testing run as extremely valuable in ironing out problems and perfecting the car's performance in its current configuration. The UNSW SRT returned to Solarch at approximately 6pm, after packing up in time for sunset.
