27 July 2003    (Test Run #1)
Solarch Workshop

Back to WSC 2003 (Main)

Today, the UNSW SRT took UNSW Sunswift II on its first test run leading up to the 2003 World Solar Challenge (WSC). This all-day event began with an 8am start from Solarch. The aim of the test run was to ensure the latest components of UNSW Sunswift II were operating correctly.

During the test run which was held along the M5 Motorway/Hume Highway, the UNSW SRT took the opportunity to meet members of the public at the Pheasants Nest petrol station.

The weekend test runs are planned to occur every fortnight between now and the WSC.
