13 November 2001    (Pre-Event Day 17)
Camp NTU [Report Entry]

Back to WSC 2001 (Main)

We've been at the NTU campus for three full days, working, eating and sleeping. We set up camp in the Refrigeration Workshop on campus and immediately set to work putting the finishing touches on the car. Finishing and optimising the main array and canopy array has been one of the major projects...

Meanwhile, inside the workshop, the Mech, Elec, Composites, Logistics and Software teams finish up a few small projects...

We're lucky enough to be surrounded by several other racing teams. We went to visit them, and, last night, we hosted a classic "Aussie Barbie" for two Canadian teams, the University of Waterloo and the University of Toronto.

Unfortunately, the close quarters has been incubating some kind of 1-day virus. About half the team has been 'through the wringer', including Dave Snowdon. Dave's easily one of the most dedicated and focused members of the team, but even he couldn't withstand the bug...

He's fine now.
