This meant that we beat Aurora for today's leg, and secured 2nd overall in the race. The stage started in Canberra, finishing at Sydney's Homebush Bay. An error in the route notes, leading some teams (including us!) to miss a control stop, created the obligatory confusion for the day! The weather lived up to its usual standard, travelling from Mildura, through Bendigo, to Melbourne today, as you can see, making battery management interesting. The trailer also lived up to its usual navigational skill, getting lost twice today! The day's strategy was thrown into a panic early, with a 30km stretch of road works that the car had to be trailered through, but the team sorted it out. However some of the team stayed longer in Broken Hill to make some repairs to the trailer.
