The final day of the event, all racing was over. Today was a display at the Sydney Opera House, and the presentation dinner at Homebush Bay. Thank you to everyone who supported us for this race!

On the last day of racing, UNSW Sunswift II averaged a phenomenal 102 km/h! This meant that we beat Aurora for today's leg, and secured 2nd overall in the race. The stage started in Canberra, finishing at Sydney's Homebush Bay.

After leaving from the Melbourne Museum in a convoy through the streets of Melbourne, the race headed to Albury. An error in the route notes, leading some teams (including us!) to miss a control stop, created the obligatory confusion for the day!

Welcome to Victoria! The weather lived up to its usual standard, travelling from Mildura, through Bendigo, to Melbourne today, as you can see, making battery management interesting. The trailer also lived up to its usual navigational skill, getting lost twice today!

Today saw the solar teams travel from Mildura to Charlton, and UNSW Sunswift II again finished close behind Aurora. The day's strategy was thrown into a panic early, with a 30km stretch of road works that the car had to be trailered through, but the team sorted it out.

UNSW Sunswift II raced from Broken Hill to Mildura, finishing today's leg less than 5 minutes behind Aurora. However some of the team stayed longer in Broken Hill to make some repairs to the trailer.

The second leg of AGO SunRace 2002 was from Peterborough to Broken Hill, and we finished today's racing in second place still, despite blowing a tyre on the rear wheel.

Race Day! AGO SunRace 2002 left Adelaide today after meeting the Hon. Alexander Downer, and UNSW Sunswift II finished the day 1 minute 47 seconds behind the leading solar car, Aurora.

Speed trials, stability tests and brake tests were performed at Adelaide International Raceway, and final preperations made for the race beginning tomorrow.

The UNSW Solar Racing Team left Sydney, heading to Adelaide for the start of the AGO SunRace 2002. Today we reached Dubbo, doing some testing along the way.
