*WE ARE BACK TO SCHOOL*

Approximately 110 high school students in 22 teams are expected to attend the 12th annual UNSW SunSprint challenge, proudly hosted by Sunswift along with the UNSW Faculty of Science.

Held on Friday the 3rd and Saturday the 4th of September, teams from high schools across New South Wales battle it out to see who can build the fastest pre-designed and pre-built model cars powered only by the sun’s energy. The students will also have to carry “passengers” in the form of raw eggs safely through the race track.

“It’s so exciting to see enthusiastic students put their ingenuity to use in such creative ways. We are thrilled to run an event to give these students the chance to excel.” says Daniel Friedman, Sunswift’s project manager.

The event will commence at 8am and finish at around 6pm on both days at the UNSW Quadrangle Lawn. There will also be a race between a group of Sunswift alumni’s model car and this year team’s during lunchtime on the Saturday.

So if you are around university, why not come and check out these future engineers of tomorrow, or come and meet the friendly faces of the Sunswift team who will be happy to answer all your questions.
